Kamila Aliyeva

Kamila Aliyeva, daughter of Nizami, was born on March 29, 1978, in Baku. She attended No. 27 secondary school in Baku from 1985 to 1988. In 1988, she entered the Baku Choreography School (now the Baku Choreography Academy) and graduated in 1996 with a specialization in Ensemble Artistry.

In the same year, Kamila continued her education at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts a bachelor's degree in the Department of Directing. In 2000, she obtained a degree in Theater Collective Directing. From 2016 to 2018, she pursued a master's degree in Classical Ballet Teaching at the Moscow State Institute of Culture in the Russian Federation, receiving a distinction upon completion.

Between 1996 and 2016, Kamila worked as an artist, dancer, and soloist at the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble. Since 1996, she has also been employed as a teacher in the folk dance department at the Baku Choreography School, starting her pedagogical career. Since 2016, she has held the position of Deputy Director of the Specialized Middle School at the Baku Choreography Academy.

During her tenure as a soloist, Kamila has performed for the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble in various countries, including Japan, China, Germany, Jordan, France, Turkey, Russia, Qatar, Denmark, and others, representing Azerbaijan's culture. She has been a laureate of numerous competitions and festivals.

In 2016, a dance group named after Gamar Almaszade, consisting of her students, won the 2nd place in the 1st International Competition in Classical and National Dance.

From 2016 to 2019, Kamila conducted master classes at the Moscow State Institute of Culture and in various regions of Azerbaijan. She choreographed several dances for creative groups, including the Gaval dance and the Gaytagi dance. In 2019, she collaborated with Emin Aliyev, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, to organize the ballet performance "Drop from the sea" with students from the Baku Choreography Academy Middle School.
