The Academic Musical Theater's performance "My Woman" was successfully performed at the "Maltepe" International Festival

The 7th International Maltepe Festival was held in Turkey from October 11 to 30, 2025, organized by the Eurasian Theater Union and supported by the Maltepe Municipality. The Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater also successfully performed at this wonderful art event, which brings together theater and art representatives from different countries of the world every year.

At the solemn closing ceremony of the festival, the theater collective presented the play “My Woman” directed by the President’s Prize winner Irada Gozalova, based on the work “Matryoshka” by the famous writer and playwright of the Turkic world Tuncer Cucenoghlu. The play, prepared in the genre of lyrical-psychological melodrama, was met with great interest by the participants.

The festival organizers expressed their special gratitude to the director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater Agil Bahramli and director Irada Gozalova, and awarded the collective with a diploma. In addition, director Irada Gozalova was also presented with a special award named “Tuncer Cucenoghlu” by the writer’s family for the successful staging of the play.

Agil Bahramli, who held meetings with representatives of theater groups from different countries during the visit, expressed his gratitude for the high-level organization of the festival and congratulated the Turkish people on October 29 - the Republic Day of Turkey.

It should be noted that the young actors of the theater Emrah Dadashov and Gultaj Alili, as well as choir artists, performed in the play "My Woman". The plastic composition and stage movements of the work belong to Honored Artist Nigar Shahmuradova. She also participated in the play as an actress. The production designer of the play is Vusal Rahim, the choirmaster is Malahat Gasimova, and the music arranger is Emrah Dadashov.
