Ostrovski's "Without a Dowry" will be screened at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater

At the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater, has begun the rehearsals of "Without a Dowry” based on the same-named play by the great Russian writer Alexander Nikolayevich Ostorvski. Irada Gozalova, who is the Presidential Award winner and the Director-General of the Ganja State Drama Theater, is the director of the performance produced in the Russian section of the theater.

"Ostrovski's performance will be an exciting addition not only to the history of the Academic Musical Theater but as well as the theater world of our country. Jazz music will be widely used in the show which is full of unexpected nuances and completely different opinions. Ms. Irada has previously directed "Who is guilty?" by Abdurrahim Bay Hagverdiyev, "999th Night" based on the music of the USSR people's artist Fikrat Amirov and the motives of the "1001 Night" tales. She also directed "My sin', a composition of Ilyas Afandiyev (based on the music of USSR people's artist G. Garayev). We are delighted by her successful performances in famous theaters outside of our country. I hope that the new stage production of Ms. Irada will be welcomed as well at the Academic Musical Theater," said A.Lalayev.

The music director and conductor of the performance is Honored Art Figure Fakhraddin Atayev; the music designer is Narmina Ismayilova. The artist of the play is Vusal Rahim; the choreographer is Emin Aliyev; the choirmaster is Honored artist Vagif Mastanov; the costume artist is Yelena Almazova, and the assistant director is Tamilla Aslanova. The roles in the play will be performed: by People's Artist Parviz Mammadrzayev, Honored Artists Nargiz Karimova, Shovgi Huseynov, Naida Orujova, Almaz Alasgarova, actors - Rauf Babayev, Emil Haydarov, Alimammad Novruzov, Nadejda Povelitsina.

The audience will not be surprised by only professional actors' performances but also performance of the theater's chorus and ballet artists.
