Academic Musical Theater at Dada Gorgud Festival

On July 22, the 25th International Dada Gorgud festival started in Bayburt, Turkey. The celebration of culture and arts which will continue for a week held 25 years ago. The Bayburtans claim that the tomb of Dada Gorgud is in the Masat village of the region, who is a shared spiritual wealth of the Turkic world and has always made Azerbaijan participate actively in these festivals as the heir of Dada Gorgud heritage. The 25th Dada Gorgud festivities began with a visit to the tomb of the Great Ozan in the village of Masat. Along with dance groups from other countries, the ballet troupe of the Azerbaijan State Academic Music Theater is among the participants of the ceremony, which is attended by hundreds of city residents. As being the expression of love to Dada Gorgud, who had been able to stay in the minds of people in Turkish geography along with guests from all Turkic-speaking countries, folk groups from neighboring countries also attend the event. The festivities started at Masat Plateau and continued in front of Dada Gorgud's Monument in the city center. Residents, as well as hundreds of attendees from all over the world, applaud and admire the performances of various dance and folk groups from Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey on the square named after the creator of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
