Academic Musical Theater prepares for the festival in Albania

On October 10-15, Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater will take part in another international event - the 21st traditional Skampa International Theater Festival in Elbasan, Albania. The Skampa 2019 festival, organized by the artistic director of Albanian filmmaker Adonis Phillips, will include a wide range of seminars, performances, concerts, exhibitions, meetings, as well as intercultural dialogue and international experience sharing. our country will be represented by the Academic Musical Theater and will feature a play by Samuel Beckett's famous "Waiting For Godot", along with us, Albania, the United States, Italy, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia and many different prestigious theaters around the world will join the festival. Note that for the first time in the world symphonic music composed for this play and added to the repertoire of the theater by People's Artist, Professor Faraj Garayev. The artistic director of the absurd performance, which is not understood by everyone, having deep philosophic meaning- is the Honored Artist, Doctor of Philosophy Aligismat Lalayev, and the director is a master graduate student of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art - Yunis Valipur. The principal conductor of the play is the Honored Artist Fakhraddin Atayev, the conductor is Samad Suleymanli, the choreographers are the Honored Artists - Zakir and Yelena Aghayevs, the concertmaster is Narmina Abdurahmanova, the stage designer is Gabil Gozalov and the director assistant is Alimammad Novruzov. Different roles such as Estragon (Gogo), Vladimir (Didi), Pocho, Lakki, Boy will be performed by Honored Artists- Azizagha Azizov, Shovgi Huseynov, actors - Alimammad Novruzov, Huseyn Alili, and 15-year-old theater actor Huseyn Naghiyev. Besides, the performance of '' Waiting for God '' was also invited to the II Alef International Theater Festival to be held in December in the Islamic Republic of Iran - Tabriz.
